1. Why do I need to Install BUP?
BUP is a home battery that has become an essential piece of the home energy equation. BUP affords you energy independence by powering your home without the general energy grid, even during a blackout. When it is paired with a solar panel, you can totally go off the national energy grid, giving you full control over your home energy needs.
2. Do I need solar panels For BUP to work?
No. BUP can work independently from solar panels because it charges directly from the general energy grid running through the home. BUP can power your home for up to 24hours without solar panels (this is dependent on your energy usage). Both can work simultaneously to power your home; solar during the day and BUP at night. Installing solar ups your energy output and ensures you enjoy BUP to the maximum.
3. Is BUP more expensive than backup generators?
Every home in the country has a backup generator, it is safe to say that traditional generators are cheaper UPFRONT. However, with the ongoing cost of service and repairs, fuel (which, more often than not, can be scarce and expensive), BUP is usually more cost-effective in the long run.

When you purchase BUP, our licensed and trained engineers and electricians will handle the installation process from end to end. This ensures you get the best aftersales service as promised and ensures that safety measures as it relates to installation are adhered to.
7. What is the installation process?
A home battery installation is relatively simple. The battery itself is mounted on the wall near your main electrical distribution panel. The appliances and rooms that you want to backup are then rewired from your main distribution panel to a critical loads panel adjacent to the battery. If you have solar panels, they are also rewired to the critical loads’ panel. The battery is then connected to the energy grid through the main panel, and to the critical loads and solar panels (if any) through the critical loads’ panel.
8. How much does installation cost?
The cost of installation will vary significantly from residential/corporate buildings. It also depends on the type and size of your home battery, the amount of electrical work required to back up your critical loads, and other factors. The cost of installation also includes labor and other components, including the critical loads’ panel, disconnects, wires, and other materials.
